9 Simple ways you could improve the Christmas Day stress that sometimes occurs:-

  • Have an intention for things to be different this year for the family gathering.
  • Relax and know everything will be perfect when you come out of trying to be perfect!
  • Connect with every task you do from your heart, not just your head, from buying Christmas presents to deciding on your Christmas menu.
  • Come into present time, see your family as if it were for the first time and that there were things to discover about them that you would love to know.
  • Gather a family team feeling by involving everyone in something. Don’t do it all on your own, get others to contribute and a sense of natural togetherness will form that uplifts all.
  • Ask your family about their current passions, or memorable moments from the year. It brings people out of their boxes and opens up new and exciting discussions.
  • Christmas can bring upsets to the surface, rather than going into them with the person and trying to solve, see if you can bring the person out by acknowledging something very special about them.
  • Let go of any format or agenda. After Christmas dinner, let everyone feel free to create what they would like to do with whoever they feel to. Some may rest, play games, swim or talk… Even though you are separately doing things, holding the intention of togetherness will still be felt.
  • After everyone has left be with your partner. Share some time together at the end of the day just to be together and acknowledge your love for each other.

What we focus on we create….REMEMBER IT IS THE JOY WITHIN AND OUR CONNECTION WITH OTHERS AND THE UNIVERSE THAT GIVES PURPOSE TO OUR LIFE…and not just at Christmas Time.
